MAY the forth be with you

Here are the happenings for the month of May.
I loved my maternity leave. Especially since I had a lot of help and got to hang with friends!

The Prince of England came to Memphis for a wedding and everyone was so excited about it.
But Prince Charles didn't know what the big deal was? He was already in town!

legos!

May the 4th be with you!

Lisa's dad came in town for a book signing!

I'm hanging with the famous author!

See...he has business cards!

The next night was John's wedding. We didn't have a sitter so Kyle stayed home.

Rain on your wedding day is good luck right? Especially if it's outside!

Jonah is ready to be a member of the award-winning, grand-champ BBQ, the Bluff City Bulldogs

he loves bath time!

Charlie selfie!

I was brave and took them both outside in the heat. The umbrella flew down and tore our window screen. It was not a good day to be brave! But Jonah had fun at the water table! And no one was hurt. I say that is a good day.

Next up: Zoo Brew
Our friend Abbey is the marketing director at the Memphis Zoo and needed volunteers to help pour beer for their very large fundraiser, Zoo Brew.
Betsy & I served Indian beer. We worked HARD!

They had a DJ so I did a little dance with my pumping bag and water on my way out! We worked the entire time! This is a big money maker for the zoo.

I did my 1st post pardum 5k! And Kyle won 1st in his age group. This was my time not his!

Charles thinks that life is good!

Kyle went out of town for 2 weeks to LSU to attend banking school. Nana came and stayed with us the 1st week.
It was SO helpful having her with a 2 month old and 19 month old!

Multiple uses for the grill...

Nana stayed an extra night so that I could go to Cindy's graduation party. She is a PharmD!! Dr. Cindy, congrats!
My date was Charlie!

He was the life of the party!

Love these girls!

There was one night when I was by myself while Kyle was out of town between Nana leaving and granny coming. The Brasher sisters came over to help me with bedtime.

They brought pizza! It meant so much to me!

Wow, what a busy and fun month! Oh yeah-don't forget about the hot water leak under our slab!

So...how was your month of May?!

the bain wedding

We are always so busy in the spring. Having 2 under 2 has not stopped us from enjoying it! My dear friends Jessica and Jeff got married the last weekend in April. Jessica is the one who delivered Jonah and picked my nurse for Charlie. She is the best! She is also on the award-winning, grand-champ BBQ team (and Jeff too).

It is the wives club! And Jessica is official now!

Another date night! It was a beautiful wedding. Perfect weather.

They had the grand-champ BBQ trophies displayed around the grooms cake.

The happy couple.

Our babysitters, Nana and Pops. They had a great time!
7 week-old Charlie and 18 month old Jonah

It was another great and busy weekend. And thanks to Nana and Pops for coming! They always help out. My parents are great too! We have such a supportive family. So thankful

december happenings: part 1

December was a busy month, as always! Jonah turned 14 months.

Daddy is teaching Jonah how to be a wonderful husband!

We has some friends over to hang out.
So Eli came and the boys had fun!

Aunt Betsy got J a cute spider man had and tie!

How cute are these boys?!

Time to get pictures with Santa!
Peanut sure makes me look very large!

Jonah had fun walking around

He is so sweet!

And the Jonah look. We took him away from watching the train so I think he was just taking it all in.

Next up is Eli's 1st bday party
Jonah had even more fun!

Partying with the bday boy Eli!

Fun times!

The Christmas parties are next. Kyle and I at the Peabody for a work event.
So this dress is a dress that I've worn to like 5 parties. The only maternity "dressy" dress that I had. So this dress will appear a lot!

Jonah went to Kyle's work party all dressed up like an elf while I went to a bachelorette party.

Speaking of the bachelorette, her wedding was the weekend before Christmas. I was so excited because it was in Martin where my college is!
We facetime'd Lisa in England so that she could be apart of Shelly's big day. We all stayed at Cindy and Betsy's parents home right outside Martin.

Shelly married Adam. Her new last name is White. I had a hayday with all the "White" wedding jokes! I'm dreaming of a WHITE Chritmas.  Adam, you're pretty fly for a WHITE guy, and the list of songs continued!
Here is the dress again!

Peanut is growing!

Shelly and Adam had an inspiration table. These are couples that have inspired them with their marrage. I was so honored when Shelly asked Kyle and I be apart of this table. Such a cute idea.

We filled out a card with our advice. We were the youngest couple on the table with other couples that have been married for 50 plus years! Like I said, we were so honored and were happy to share what makes us thrive! I do love my Kyle and am happy that we can inspire others! The pressure is on though! HA!!

The Whites!

My favorite picture from the wedding

It was bad weather after the wedding and Kyle and I could barely see to get back to our baby at the Brasher's house.
We made it back in the sideways rain. Then played with the babies!

We left Sunday morning and made it in time to eat lunch at my parents church.
How cute is Jonah and my parents?!
