turkey for me, turkey for you

I have a great group of friends. We do a "friends" thanksgiving and it is so yummy! Last year, everyone seemed to bring a casserole and it was heavenly. This year we did a little better about planning! However, the casserole buffet is always a great option!

We usually have it at Shelly's house.

It is a great way to start off the holiday season!

Fergie always brings her corn dish!

The boys waiting to dig in.

Snacking beforehand. About to unload on some friend food!

Sometimes we play games. Just depends on how full we are.

This year we were too full. Can't wait till next year!

This Thanksgiving, we went to my side of the family.  We've decided to swap out every other year.  We go to Kyle's side when the Egg bowl is in Starkville. We go to my side when it's in Oxford. Don't you love how we plan our holidays around football?

Since we were in town, we ran the Turkey Trot again.  You can either run the full 4 miles by yourself or do a 2 person relay.  We did the coed relay and here we are reenacting the turkey leg pass.  We each ran 2 miles. Our combined time was 33:49.  Our personal best! Even though we only ran 2 miles a piece, it still felt better to exercise before a big Thanksgiving meal.

Here a just a few pictures of my family at my Aunt Rita's house.

Running the turkey trot means we have our outfit picked out for the day!
